I want step-by-step instructions for accessing courses.
If you want more detailed instructions for accessing courses, click here.

Where do I put the access code?
You have to register for a free account first. Follow the instructions for new users to register for an account. After registering, you will be given the option to enter your code. Enter the entire code exactly as it appears in your book, including the CCH portion of the code and any underscores. Note: If your access code begins with “CCHSM_”, only enter the portion of the code after that.

My access code doesn't work.
Codes are case sensitive. Make sure you are entering the code exactly as it appears on the card. Some codes are a combination of numbers and letters; make sure you are not mistaking a lowercase l for the number 1.

My access code is expired.
You may have already used the code during a previous session. The access code only needs to be used the first time as payment for the course library. Once the code has been used it is no longer valid. To access your courses, log in with your user name and password and then click on "My Courses" to view the courses available to you. If you've forgotten your user name and password, click on the "forget password" link in the member login box on the welcome page.

I purchased a used textbook.
If you purchased a used textbook, the code may have been used by the previous owner of the book. Register for a free account, choosing your own user ID and password. Enter the code on the payment screen. If you get a message saying the access code has expired, send your code and the textbook title to studymate@cch.com and someone will send you a new access code.

I can't get beyond the Table of Contents screen.
Make sure you have disabled your pop-up blocker. Some older computers or browsers will have problems viewing the courses. You may need to update your equipment.

The content looks strange on the screen.
The courses are best viewed with your resolution set to 800 x 600. Due to the various platforms that are used to access course content, we cannot provide instructions that will be valid for all systems. For Windows, your screen resolution can be changed by clicking on the start button, then control panel, double-click on the "display" icon, then choose the "settings" tab and change the screen area to 800 x 600 pixels.

I'm getting an error message.
Send the screen shot to support@learning.net

Why is there a grim reaper in most of the courses?
The people responsible for the clip art and the layout of the courses understand that learning can be fun. The clip art contained in the courses is meant to be humorous or provide a break in the monotony of reading plain text on the screen. No offense was intended.
